Ugh, stop twitching
the ancient people: busters
music Posted 2004-07-01 10:30:23 by Jim Crawford
The following is what I've been spending the plurality of my free time on over the past few days: A performance of the intro speech to the PC Engine game “Rock On!”

It's difficult if not impossible to understand it without knowing what you're hearing, so here's a transcript:

“Dearly beloved, other time, other space. People live a damn boring routine life, although the world is so peaceful. Of course, some of them thinks they got to get out of the life, and dreaming about getting a big fortune. To realize that dream, there's only one way left in that world. Needless to say, it's, somehow, to find out the mysterious fortune hidden by the ancient people. Busters, it's the name who we call the fortune hunters. Now, they're about to start a historic journey, that no one could come back alive from. This is to get the fisas, called legend by people. But except the one person, no one in the world can make it real who has got to be billionaires, and radical, physically and mentally. Yes, you are the one! Now the whole world is watching you and looking for your success. Now let's go for it!”

For another take on the same material, see here, or more specifically, here.

A list of source material follows. Don't look if you want to figure it out for yourself! I biased myself towards albums I actually owned, only seeking out songs for the more obscure words. Like “fisas,” for instance. I also biased myself rather heavily towards the music produced by my own band, Smush.
