Ugh, stop twitching
music Posted 2003-11-23 02:06:54 by Jim Crawford is pretty cool. I've submitted a song for the current Green contest. Here it is.

I don't know about you, but I really like the ride cymbal line in part B.

It's going to be renamed to the standard three character Smush song naming convention for placement on the next Smush album. Unfortunately, is dead as of Dec. 2nd, and although I've found new hosting space for the 450 megs or so of Smush's music at (free, no less), I haven't found another service which can process an incoming order and burn a CD on the fly.

We've sold a grand total of two CDs through in the last three years, so it's not that I actually expect anyone to actually buy a copy... it's just that it would be damned nice to know it would be possible.

So my song tied for second-to-last, which is pretty damn good for an instrumental, apparently. My appreciation of songfight was always theoretical until I entered; I hadn't actually listened to much of the music. But now that I have, I have to say, those songs are all very, uh, songwritery.

well shoot I didnt know we were supposed to vote, I hardly think 1 vote is fair, your song is way better than raised by wolves that got 8 votes...

Well, I didn't want to pimp my song for votes on my web site, that would've been cheap :)

Besides... under that voting system, you're only supposed to vote for the song you like best. And I don't think mine was the best song there, so technically, in my opinion, I didn't deserve any votes at all. And with that in mind, the one vote is actually pretty flattering.

which one did you vote for?

Well, actually, I, uh, didn't vote :) I probably would've gone for the Josh Woodward one, even though it's by far the most songwritery song there.

It occurs to me that I just used the construct "technically, in my opinion" to qualify a statement. And I stand by that.
